this product is a cup holder that attaches to a luggage piece.  this is impractical because your would kick it!  the cup would spill! look how close the foot is to the cup!  and there is so much hustle and bustle in air ports that this would for sure end in spill disaster.  the product also looks shoddy and that the cup is tied on.

just hold your drink, lazy.

this is humorous.  unfortunately, the humor does not cover the fact that this is not a great product.  the pants in general seem awkward to wear.  it does seem fun to sled down a hill with out a sled, but there is flaw in the design.  when one stands up, the curvature of the hard sled would no doubt hit the child’s spine.  walking with a hard but would be so uncomfortable.  that in and of it self makes this a bad product.

shake n’ wake alarm clock.  vibrating alarm clocks are a great idea.  they come in handy if your deaf, if you have roommates, and if you just need to have another form of wake up.  however, this design is bulky and would not enhance the user’s experience.  the square design would hinder comfort in sleeping.  i sleep on my hands and this would be so uncomfortable.  i need help waking up, so this product in theory would be nice… but the design is not so nice and way too bulky.

buckminster fuller…bucky… is not an innovative product.  but he was surely an innovator.  bucky did not have one forte either, he was an American author, architect, designer, inventor and futurist.  He was an environmental activist.  He tried to integrate his designs to work with nature, and not against it.  This is one of the reasons why i find him so innovative.  Bucky was also before his time.  great man.

wooden mouse. this wooden mouse may seem too simple to some to be something that i would consider innovative and cool.  but i like its unique mahogany look.  also the fact that some of it is made from wood.  i feel like people should not rely on plastic so much and explore reusable resources.  if this mouse was made of bamboo that would be even better.  it’s a renewable resource!  it is smart in these times to explore new things and try to break out of life’s occasional mundane box.  new things can be innovative and work.

this is a cool use of storage.  it is innovative in the sense that it uses the whole entire desk top to create drawers underneath.  i have yet to see that in a desk.  there is always some amount of space that is not allocated.  it is also cool that you can see into the entirety of the product.  this way you can see where everything is.  cool product.  unusual and cool

pocket hangers that hold your supplies. uncool and drawing attention to yourself.  there is a problem with this because the felt pocket and thumb tack hanger will not hold up to weighty design products.  also, felt seems like an impractical material to create this product out of.  the user also cannot see what is in the pockets.  everything else on a bulletin board is visible except  the contents of the pocket.  i don’t know why i have such a gripe right now… but it may also be the bizarre decoration and shape of the pocket.  uncool object.

a plate for someone in the middle!  smart? maybe? maybe not.  this idea makes sense.  there is a design problem that needs to be addressed, the fact that flat plates do no sit well on the cracks between two tables.  however, the plate shown here offers a horrible users experience.  the plate makes it awkward to eat.

ski chalets! this idea is great.  the most horrible experience of skiing is carrying the skis around.  this idea makes life so much simpler!  there was definitely a design opportunity available in skiing especially if you can be awkward like myself.  when at the skii hill, you always see so many people fumbling around with the skiis.  they are such a problem because of their shape and lack of grip.  great product.

this product is innovative.  it is a usb charger, this is smart for ipods and other mp3 players.  it is slim enough to fit in your purse and for when your on the go, which is perfect if your ipod is dying!  it is unique and it has a simple design.  it is not too bulky and substantial enough.  cool product.
